No Kidding 2

Just noted actor Johnny Depp seems to continue to warp into weirdness.  It’s said he recently slapped his girlfriend and wrecked a trailer.  Apparently, his penchant for booze and drugs has undone the once respected film star.

More proof the years pass quickly. Ringo Starr just turned 80.

Looks as though Washington’s NFL team has arrived at a new moniker.  Seems “Washington Red Skins” will be replaced by “Washington Warriors”, a decided improvement.

Thomas Lane, one of the four Minneapolis officers charged in George Floyd’s death has requested to have his case dismissed owing to lack of “probable cause”. Any of the four responsible for contributing to Floyd’s demise should be maximally punished for whatever part they played in that horrific circumstance.

Back in April the administration issued “Guidelines for Opening Up America Again” which indicated businesses.  etc should resume in phases depending on progress containing the virus. Now, here in July with the November election drawing closer the White House resident insists that the virus is under control which it certainly isn’t, and claims that schools should reopen. Yep, guys and gals.....the health of the nation isn’t important.....getting re-elected is the first priority. What else is new!

The most expected event of the week: Trump pardoning his pal Stone. Called “The most corrupt act in perhaps all of recent history” and him “a lawless president who treats American justice like his personal plaything “.Interesting to note that Nixon never pardoned any of his Watergate buddies.

Trump quote of the week as the nation’s virus surged in many areas, “They’re are going to be fine”.  There now, don’t you feel better? By the way, it’s apparent that the Oval Officer’s clamor to reopen the nation’s schools is his hope that such will aid in his re-election.
